Wildlife Conservation

Sri Lanka has a stunning diversity of wildlife, with various species of endemic and critically endangered fauna and flora. The majority of this rich biodiversity is focused in pockets of national parks dotted around the island. Our oceans are also home to a large number of valuable marine life, from turtles to massive whales, the coasts of Sri Lanka are teeming with life!

However, our natural heritage has come under threat from various factors. Deforestation, pollution and more recently, hit and runs, our wildlife has never been more threatened.

ODEL has always been at the forefront of conservation and the preservation of life. Our CSR initiatives have always focused on wildlife and the continued survival of the flora and fauna of Sri Lanka.
